Our mission is to be a leader and innovator of Medical Pathology Services throughout the United States.

We:

1. Partner with Health Care Professionals in Clinics and Hospitals to provide Surgical Pathology, Cytology and Consultative services for superior patient care outcomes.

2. Provide rapid diagnosis for patients and referring physicians with our Fine Needle Aspiration Services and on-site frozen sections.

3. Provide patients and partners with Pap tests and other health care information needed to enable patients to assume ownership and direction of life style health decisions which impact their lives.

Who are we? We are a professional association of Board Certified Anatomic and Clinical Pathologists, Cytopathologists,  Cytotechnologists, and a team of very important support people, with whom we fulfill our Mission. 

We are a Physician owned multi-state provider of Medical Pathology Services. We have maintained continuous voluntary accreditation with the College of American Pathologists since 1970. Our pathologists are all Board Certified and we are Fellows of the College of American Pathologists (FCAP). We subscribe to ongoing self-inspection and ongoing educational programs in the realm of Surgical pathology, Cytopathology, and Clinical consultative services in pathology. We are a Member Laboratory of the American Society of Cytopathology. Currently we hold physician licenses in Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Arkansas Colorado and Oklahoma. Our CLIA license is continuously maintained. We passed our 2005 CAP inspection with no deficiencies.

Our Physician Staff includes  Mary L. Nielsen, M.D., FCAP who serves as our Medical Director, Scott Jarmer, M.D., FCAP, who is our senior staff Pathologist and Ward M. Newcomb, M.D., FCAP, staff pathologist and president of Kansas Pathology Consultants, P.A. Our support staff is educated, experienced and capable, assisting the physicians and cytotechnologists in order to consistently produce quality services and reliable work products on time and at a reasonable fee.

The performance of one affects the performance of all - and everyone works toward  the goal of improving the products and services we provide to you and the patients we all serve.
